Create new, beautiful content and learn hands on skills from Julia Loglisci, voted Victoria’s Best Photographer in the City in 2022.

I am so excited to be back with another, in person, photography workshop! This time, it will be taking place in my very own photography studio, Good Juju Studios, in Downtown Victoria. This in person workshop is your chance to connect with like-minded people to create, collaborate, and feel inspired. This workshop is the perfect opportunity for you to grow as individuals and professionals.

In this 7 hour day, we will practice hands on shooting with a professional model, and you will get a chance to take pictures to build your portfolio. Here’s what you can expect to learn and practice in this 7 hour course.

• We will look at your camera settings, practice shooting raw and with natural light

• We will take turns shooting with a professional model from a local agency and learn how to pose and direct

• Gain confidence behind the camera

• Build relationships with one of the top modelling agencies in BC & get to work with well known hair and make up stylists

• The opportunity to collaborate with renowned vendors (which will help increase your exposure and online presence)

• The opportunity to update your portfolio with new images

• 30 minutes set aside for a lunch break (please bring your own lunch, snacks and water or purchase food from one of the many, local cafes and restaurants in Market Square)

• A very hands on approach to practicing your editing- We will immediately upload our images and I will show you my entire process to cull, select, back up and edit my photos. We will be using the following software programs: Photo Mechanic, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

• I will walk you through my process on posting, updating your website and sending your finished gallery to your potential clients.

• If we have time at the end, we can take photos of each other and update our head shots/ portraits ( A great way to get more practice and have a cute new updated portrait of yourself, taken by one of the other photographers in the course)

Please note- this is for experienced photographers. You must know how to already shoot manual and have a digital SLR Camera, as well as a laptop to bring with editing software. If you do not already have the Adobe Programs Installed, I strongly recommend you try out the free 30 day trials of Lightroom and Photoshop, but it is not mandatory for this workshop.
